Welcome to Provincial Service Academy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The Provincial Services Academy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PSA-KP) was established by an Act of the Provincial Assembly in 2013. The Academy is governed by a Board of Governors headed by the Provincial Chief Minister. The Academy is intended to be an institute where various cadres of the Provincial Services receive their Induction, Promotion and capacity Enhancement trainings.
Our Vision
The Provincial Services Academy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was established with a view to expanding and consolidating the capacity-building of all the Provincial Services Cadres. But that aim is partly achieved only. At present only PMS is getting proper trainings. Rest of the Cadres are almost ignored or their needs partly addressed. Also there is a huge backlog of PMS Officers awaiting mandatory trainings which cannot be handled by the NIMS/PPSA alone. In this context, the PSA-KP proposes to carry out the management and technical trainings of all the Provincial Service Cadres at their induction and promotion levels. These trainings should not be limited to classrooms only and can be done virtually online. Hence a LMS is being developed.
Our Mission
TRAINING ACADEMIES ROLE IN PSA LMS: The PSA-LMS platform can become an integrating and coordinating vehicle for all the various training academies of this province to join hands, and work together for the same common goal of enhancing the knowledge, skills and abilities of officers and staff of the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The various Academies will be given their own dashboards, with user rights to develop and upload course modules, assign experts or trainees, and keep record of the trainings conducted. The Certificates to be issued at the end of the training will carry the LOGO’s of PSA and those Training Academies that are co-leading various courses with PSA. Hence PSA-LMS will be a joint collaborative effort of all the training Academies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Our Aim
The various Cadres of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have to undergo Induction and Promotion trainings at various stages of their career. Some Cadres have an organized trainings structure, which is well designed and structured. While other Cadres are slightly ignored or in the process of developing their course contents etc. Many course modules can be utilized by various Cadres, as requirements are the same in many areas. There are then also specialized areas for each service, for which the modules will only serve their own purpose. The Departments have to manage their staff, and ensure that they get enrolled in various courses. The Service Rules have to be amended accordingly. The Departments will have to manage their trainees through their own Dashboards. PROVINCIAL SERVICES ACADEMY LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PSA-LMS) As a premier institution for the training of civil servants of all cadres and services Provincial Services Academy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aims at building the capacity all the trainees for undertaking tasks of policy formulation and implementation at strategic as well as operational levels. The PSA-LMS will make the trainings a mix-and-match of the class Room based lectures and online virtual classes.
